This fashionable midcentury bed is handcrafted from your choice of solid American black cherry, rock maple, and black walnut, sustainably harvested from forests in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. The bed is bench-crafted by Vermont artisans using timeless techniques, such as mortise and tenon joinery and hand sanding.
Each piece of wood from Vermont Furniture Designs is carefully matched for color and grain, and can be rejected by any of the craftsmen at any time in the process. The wood is finished with a natural oil and wax blend, which protects the piece while bring out the color, grain, and depth of the wood and allowing it to age beautifully. Unlike many chemical sealants, this eco-friendly, natural finish does not produce any VOCs.
