Eastvold Furniture is a small workshop based in rural Minnesota that produces beautiful and lasting mid-century furniture one piece at a time. Matt Eastvold founded the company in 2010 based on his passions for design and working with wood and metal. Having grown up working in his father's metal fabrication shop, Matt knew early on that this is was his path.
Matt honed his design sense as a high end cabinet-maker in Minneapolis prior to launching Eastvold Furniture in 2010. In his words, he "lets the materials do the work." We think that's a bit modest, but the fine wood grains of American black walnut, white oak and other solid woods utilized by Eastvold will certainly bring beauty to any home.
As with all the makers we work with, Eastvold Furniture cherishes the natural resources they work with, and does its best to minimize its impact on the local and larger environment. With the exception of bamboo, which is sourced sustainably from China, all of the wood Eastvold uses in crafting this beautiful furniture, comes from forests within 500 miles of the workshop in Dennison, Minnesota.
